It is the perfect accompaniment to Indian curries and is used in biriyani and pilaf dishes. Cooking Instructions: Basmati should be rinsed thoroughly in a few changes of water before cooking, in order to remove the starch. Rinse 250g and add to a saucepan with 500ml of water (or a rice cooker if you’re feeling fancy) bring to a boil, reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes. Cover with a lid and leave for 5 minutes to absorb any remaining water and serve!
