This is made in Fujian, China in a small workshop that uses bamboo from the local mountain. We checked that this would not cause deforestation. The Chinese government owns the mountain and ensures that the resource is not over exploited by a private company.

There are no wild pandas in Fujian so cutting down bamboo has minimal effect on the local wildlife. The only pandas in Fujian are those in zoo’s and they eat a different species of bamboo anyway. When the bamboo is cut down, the bottom section is often left alone so that it can regrow very quickly.

Working conditions in the workshop are good and follow the local labour laws.

Try not have the dish soaking or sitting in water for prolonged periods of time. Allow the natural product to dry inbetween uses

Instructions

To clean the soap dish it is more about prevention than treatment. The easiest thing to do is to give it a wipe down with a towel or cloth when it is soaking wet. The slatted tray in the centre can be taken out so that it can be completely dried.
